    Pour and slice

    Pour 1 cup whole-grain cereal into a bowl. Slice 1 banana on top.

    Add milk and eat

    Pour 1 cup cold milk over the top. The whole grain slows the sugar release so the bus ride does not crash blood sugar mid-morning.

Coach's notes

  • Avoid frosted or sweetened cereals. Total sugar should be under 10 grams per serving.
